Marrakech is a major city in the northwest African nation of Morocco. It is the fourth largest city in the country after Casablanca, Fes and Rabat, and is the capital touristic of Morocco. Located to the north of the foothills of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. Marrakesh is the most important of Morocco's four former imperial cities.

The Jemaa el-fnaa is one of the best-known squares in Africa and is the centre of city activity and trade. It has been described as a "world-famous square", "a metaphorical urban icon, a bridge between the past and the present, the place where (spectacularized) Moroccan tradition encounters modernity.  It has been part of the UNESCO World Heritage site since 1985.

Koutoubia Mosque is the largest mosque in the city, located in the southwest medina quarter of Marrakesh alongside the square. It was completed under the reign of the Almohad Caliph Yaqub al-Mansur (1184-1199), and has inspired other buildings such as the Giralda of Seville and the Hassan Tower of Rabat.

The Majorelle Garden is a twelve-acre botanical garden and artist's landscape garden in Marrakech, Morocco. It was designed by the expatriate French artist Jacques Majorelle in the 1920s and 1930s, during the colonial period when Morocco was a protectorate of France.

The Saadian Tombs in Marrakesh were sealed up for centuries until their rediscovery in 1917. Occupying a quiet enclosure at the kasbah, the tombs are magnificently decorated with colorful tiles, Arabic script and elaborate carvings.

It’s a perfect opportunity for taking pictures and is famous for the 7 waterfalls at Setti Fatma and the ski resort of Oukaimeden at its head. At afternoon, we come back to Marrakech.

Oukaïmeden is one of the premier skiing resorts on the African continent. It is located in Morocco, about 80 kilometres from Marrakech, in the Atlas Mountains near Jebel Toubkal.
The skiing area is at the altitude between 2600 and 3200 metres and it has a couple of lifts. There are some hotels and ski rental facilities. However, Oukaimeden does not usually get much snow and skiing on the steeper slopes is usually not possible.

Magic of Ouzoud oneday:

The name “Ouzoud” comes from “olive” in Berber referring to the nearby olive trees. Approximately 110 meters high, the cascade is northeast of Marrakech about 150km. The the beautiful Ouzoud waterfalls has become the most famous waterfalls of Morocco, mainly due to its photo-friendliness. The area is quite impressive with a total 100 metre fall. And, it is most refreshing in summer.

Fes is the third largest city of Morocco, with a population of approximately 1 million (2010). The city has two old medinas, the larger of which is Fes el Bali. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is believed to be one of the world's largest car-free urban areas. Al-Qarawiyyin, founded in AD 859, is the oldest continuously functioning madrasa in the world. The city has been called the "Mecca of the West" and the "Athens of Africa".

Bab Mansour: Bab means "gate" or "door" in Arabic, and Bab Mansour is the largest and most striking of Meknes' many gates (27 gates). It's directly across from Place Hedim, the medina's main square.

PlaceHedim: Recently redone with new brickwork, this square once rivaled Djemaa el Fna in Marrakech but is now significantly less exciting (though there are a few nice cafes and snack spots in which to people-watch).

Heries-Souani: You can catch a glimpse of the grandeur of Moulay Ismail at these granaries, and sit beside the enormous Agdal Basin.

Habs Qara: A huge underground prison where Moulay Ismail allegedly kept prisoners.

Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail: Although non-Muslims are not permitted to enter, they can view the tombs, which hold the body of Moulay Ismail and other relatives, from the entrance.
Medina of Meknes Mosque: A mosque that is built near a Qur'an school, which was built in 1350.

Volubilis is a partly excavated Roman city in Morocco situated near Meknes between Fes and Rabat. Built in a fertile agricultural area, it was developed from the 3rd century BC onwards as a Phoenician (and later Carthaginian) settlement. It grew rapidly under Roman rule from the 1st century AD onwards and expanded to cover about 40 hectares (100 acres) with a 2.6 km (1.6 mi) circuit of walls. The city gained a number of major public buildings in the 2nd century, including a basilica, temple and triumphal arch. Its prosperity, which was derived principally from olive growing, prompted the construction of many fine town-houses with large mosaic floors.

Chefchaouen or Chaouen is a city in northwest Morocco. It's situated in the Rif Mountains, just inland from Tangier and Tetouan. The city was founded in 1471, as a small fortress which still exists to this day, by Moulay Ali Ben Moussa Ben Rached El Alami (a descendant of Ibn Machich and Idris I, and through them, of the prophet Muhammad) to fight the Portuguese invasions of northern Morocco. Along with the Ghomara tribes of the region, many Moriscos and Jews settled here after the Spanish Reconquista in medieval times. In 1920, the Spanish seized Chefchaouen to form part of Spanish Morocco.
